The first WAW attended by a large audience in Denmark (at Hotel Hilton by the Airport), was held by IIH Copenhagen (www.iih.dk) and supported by Omniture. With about 85 participants (primarily from the Nordic countries) the WAW in Copenhagen was very successful. The number of participants was surprisingly high and it is without doubt an indicator that Web Analytics is a very hot topic in Denmark as well. The event itself was conducted very professionally. Even though we could have wished to see one of the big stars like Peterson or Avinash it was enjoyable to listen to Lars’ thoughts about Web Analytics and its future. After a short introduction to reporting by Omniture and Lars’ speech (and an intermediate discussion about advice to practitioners) we were able to mingle during the beautifully served dinner with wine and exchange experiences on customers, Web Analytics implementation and perspectives in Web Analytics. All together this was a very successful day and we surely hope that this is not the last time a WAW will be held here in Copenhagen – which after all could be considered one of the main strategic centers of Web Analytics in Northern Europe (with both a Web Analytics vendor (Netminers) and Omniture’s support center being based here).
